What information do we collect about you?

Information you have provided to us

This could be your email address, name, billing address, home address, etc. Essentially, information that is necessary to provide a service to you or to improve your customer experience with us. We store the information you provide to us.

Information collected automatically about you

When you use our services or view content on our website, your activities may be logged.

Publicly available information

We may collect information about you that is publicly available.

In addition, Our Innovation collects information directly from you as our customer through forms on our websites, when you purchase services from us, or when you are in contact with us.

Providing this information is voluntary. If you choose not to provide your personal information, we may be unable to provide you with the product or service you request.

Personal information we collect

We only collect information that is necessary for us to be able to deliver products and services to you.

The information includes, for example, your name, postal address, telephone number and e-mail address, or other information that is collected through the agreement we have with you as a customer.

The information is stored as long as you have a customer relationship with us or as long as we are required to store data in accordance with other legal requirements, such as the Electronic Communications Act, the Marketing Act, the Bookkeeping Act and the Accounting Act. We collect personal information about you for the following purposes:

  • To be able to give you access to our products and services.
  • To be able to send you relevant information.
  • To be able to contact and offer our products and services.
  • To process and fulfill your order.
  • To invoice you for the products and services you have purchased from us, as well as to collect outstanding receivables.
  • To administer your customer relationship with Our Innovation.
  • To be able to respond to your inquiries to Our Innovation.

Data controller

Our Innovation is responsible for the processing of personal data in connection with all products and services provided by us.

Basis for processing personal data

The personal data is necessary for us to be able to enter into a contract with you, e.g. as a customer of Our Innovation.

As a customer of ours, you must provide this information, because without it we cannot provide you with the service you have ordered. There are six legal grounds for collecting, storing and processing personal data, cf. GDPR Article 6 No. 1 b. Our basis for collecting and processing the aforementioned personal data about you is covered by point 2:

The processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party, or in order to take steps at the data subject’s request prior to entering into a contract.

Retention of personal data

We do not store personal data longer and to a greater extent than is necessary to fulfill the purpose of the processing unless required by law, for example through the Accounting Act.

The Accounting Act states that, among other things, the following must be kept for at least 5 years:

  • The documents that form the basis for the actual accounting (incoming invoice, outgoing invoice, bank vouchers, etc.).
  • Specifications of mandatory accounting reporting (account specification, etc.).

The Accounting Act states that, among other things, the following must be kept for at least 3.5 years:

  • Agreements of importance to the company.
  • Letters and other information that provide significant additional information to posted vouchers.
  • Outgoing order forms.

Our Innovation will not disclose personal information to third parties, with the following exceptions:

  • With the consent of the person to whom the information applies.
  • With the authority of law or regulation.
  • Following an order from a court or other authority.
  • As part of payment collection where there are objective reasons.

Cookies

Cookies are small data files that are stored on your device and are used on many websites for marketing (advertising), statistics, functions, etc.

We set three cookies on www.ourinnovation.no. Two are for basic functions in relation to image display and one is related to privacy and statistics.

  • webp_lossy_supported [essential]
  • webp_lossless_supported [essential]

mtm_consent_removed is a cookie set by the analysis tool Matomo when you uncheck the box to consent to being included in the statistics for this website on this page (see under «I don’t want to be part of the statistics»).

webp_lossy_supported is a cookie set by an image compression feature on the website. This is intended to make loading images faster by compressing them without compromising image quality. The feature checks whether your browser supports images in WebP format which uses lossy compression.

webp_lossless_supported is a cookie that communicates whether your browser supports advanced image formats for an improved and faster user experience on the website – without compromising image quality.

Website analytics and statistics

We use Matomo on our website. This is an open source analytics tool that we have set up to not use tracking cookies and that anonymizes the IP addresses of those who visit our website. The anonymization is done by removing the last digits (the last two octets, e.g. 192.168.xxx.xxx) of the user’s IP address.
The data is stored on servers in Norway and is not forwarded.

The purpose of using statistics

Our Innovation collects information about visitors to this website.
The purpose of using statistics is to improve and further develop our websites.

Examples of what the statistics give us answers to are:

  • How many people visit different pages.
  • How long the visit lasts.
  • Which websites the users come from.
  • Which browsers are used.

How do we secure your data?

  • We do our best to keep your personal data safe.
  • We use secure protocols such as HTTPS for communication and data transmission on the website.
  • We use anonymization and pseudonymization where practical.
  • We monitor our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks.

Although we do our best, we cannot guarantee the security of information 100%. We will do everything we reasonably can to prevent security breaches and to assist authorities if any breaches occur.

Your rights

As long as we process or store your personal data, you have the right to access your own data. You also have the right to request that incorrect or incomplete data be corrected, deleted or supplemented. You also have the right to have your data transmitted to other parties upon request. Your request shall be answered free of charge and no later than within 30 days.

The customer/supplier can change incorrect data by contacting us in writing by e-mail or telephone. You can request access to or deletion of your personal data, as well as the transfer of personal data to other parties, in writing, by e-mail to Our Innovation. We will respond in writing by e-mail.

As a customer of Our Innovation, you have the right to complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) if you believe that we are processing your personal data in violation of the rules.
